​JUNIOR ANIMAL TRAINER CLASSES

Learn how to "speak with the animals", care for them and train fun and useful tricks with your pets! An interactive and engaging group class where we explore the science behind behaviour and learning in fun and practical ways.  ALL types of pets welcomed and encouraged to participate. Suitable for kids aged 8-14 years.

When you fill out the registration form below, please select which times you are able to do.  Timeslots that suit the most people will go ahead, if we fill classes, then more times will be opened up.  Minimum numbers are required for this class to run.

WHERE: On Zoom - kids will need a device such as tablet or laptop with Zoom installed.  They need to be able to participate in discussions, do fun quizzes, watch videos etc as well as adjust their camera so that we can see them working with their animal.  Parents are encouraged to remain nearby to support.

WHO: Kids with pets (all types of pets are welcomed to participate - previous Junior Animal Trainers have trained rabbits, cats, guinea pigs, sheep, horses, rats, and chickens. For your child to get the most out of the course, their animal should be  friendly and happy to be handled, and will reliably eat from the child's hand.  Reptiles and fish are not suitable for training unfortunately, due to their eating habits).
Material, activities and discussions are suitable for kids around 8-14 years.

Less than $15 NZD per session, per family!
6 weeks of fun and learning for $89 NZD per screen (that is LESS than $55 USD for the whole 6 weeks).
NB: If more than one child wants to actively engage and interact in the class, and if siblings cannot share the screen (and the pets!) and take part in activities cooperatively, please consider purchasing a second screen space and setting the children up in separate rooms, in order to get the best learning outcomes for everybody. The main participant/s should be 8-14 years but younger siblings are welcome to watch as long as they are suitably supervised.

WHO is your teacher?  Bex is a certified force-free animal trainer (KPA-CTP) and has been training animals professionally for over 20 years. To help your child have the best experience in our classes, please let us know if your child has any additional needs. Should they require support, you may be asked to stay and assist.     Please note: After you submit this form we will be in touch via email to confirm and arrange payment. Minimum numbers are required for programmes to run, and if we are unable to proceed on the scheduled dates due to illness or other disruptions, then we will roll over to the following week.
