TERMS & CONDITIONS

Positively Together is a very small family business, and as such I thank you for engaging with consideration, honesty and patience. I pride myself on professional, prompt and accurate communications but there is no admin team behind the scenes, it's all all just me! (The four-legged ones aren't very good at that stuff).

I look forward to you joining the Positively Together
whānau. We commit to fair treatment for all, and honest, open and straight forward communication.

So let's see the fine print so that we're all on the same page - I know it's boring but please take the time to read each section, and where relevant, make sure your children or other companions understand also.

YOUTH PROGRAMMES:
  • Parents/guardians or participants should notify staff of any relevant medical issues, disabilities, special needs, challenges or any other information necessary to ensure the participant's safety, comfort and optimal learning, and the safety and wellbeing of our animals and other participants. Parents - should your child require extra support, you may be asked to stay and assist. Thanks for your understanding.
  • Parents/guardians must communicate to their children the absolute importance of following instructions from Positively Together staff. This is for children's safety and enjoyment. Persistent failure to follow instructions or dangerous behaviour will result in immediate collection of the child by the parent/guardian, with no refund.
HEALTH & SAFETY CONDITIONS:
  • All visitors to Positively Together farm must wear covered footwear, and non-participating children must be fully supervised at all times by their parent/caregiver.
  • Positively Together will aim to provide a safe learning environment to reduce risk of injury or accident. We provide experienced instructors and staff, who actively promote safe practise on and around horses, dogs and other animals. It should be recognised by all students, parents/guardians that handling or riding horses and proximity to other animals by its very nature carries a risk of accident and/or injury and by registering to participate students/guardians and any attending or spectating family or friends are accepting this element of risk.
  • Bex Tasker T/A Positively Together and associated staff, contractors and volunteers are not liable for personal injury sustained, injury to any animal, or any loss or damage of personal property whilst on the premises.
  • You release or indemnify Bex Tasker, Positively Together and our staff against any liability we incur to any person, animal or property, resulting from your failure to follow our instructions or the failure of any person accompanying you to follow our instructions.
  • Positively Together HQ (540 Wright Road, Aongatete) is a working farm, and has natural and man-made hazards including large animals, water troughs, stacked hay bales, electric fences etc. Any non-participating children must be under constant and close supervision.
OUR PROPERTY & ANIMALS (540 Wright road)
  • Many Positively Together events are held on private property, at the home of the Tasker family. Other visiting participants, the resident animals (of all species) and the property itself must be treated with utmost respect at all times. Any person of any age not doing so may be asked to leave the programme and/or the premises with no refunds offered. Please note we take the welfare of all our animals VERY seriously.
  • Please respect that classes are held beside our private family home, so visitors should stay within the home paddock area and away from house, gardens, lawns and deck areas unless invited.
  • Do not open any gates, climb any fences or feed any animals, without explicit permission from Bex or her staff/volunteers.
  • Please do not bring your own (non-participating) dogs or other animals onto the property without explicit prior permission.
  • If asked to bring an animal along, you must keep it under control at all times. Vaccinations must be current, and leashes must be used.
  • We have resident chickens, sheep, cats, rabbits and horses. Please do not bring a dog onto the property that you know to display strong predatory behaviours or that is dog-dog aggressive (contact me to discuss your situation if you have concerns).
  • By bringing your own animal/s onto the property you understand and agree that Bex and/or her volunteers and staff may take control of the animal at any time, and/or ask for the animal to be muzzled/tethered/crated/removed from the premises at any time. The safety and wellbeing of all the humans and animals are our priority. Thank you for your understanding.
YOUR DOG (for those attending dog training classes or private training sessions):
  • Venues for dog classes are often hired, and we rely on good will to be permitted to continue using these spaces. They must therefore be treated with respect and left cleaner than we found them.  Any damage or mess made by human or dog should be reported to the coach who can help locate cleaning equipment.
  • For dog classes, you will need a harness and/or flat collar (leather or webbing) with name/council tag, poo bags, a regular lead (1.5-2m or more, not retractable), water bowl, lots of tasty treats and a favourite toy. No choke/prong collars, extendable or chain leads permitted.
  • You must declare any medical or behavioural issues with your dog upon registration for each class.
  • We do not accept dogs in class who are suspected to be aggressive or who have any history of dog-dog aggression or dog-human aggression. If you are unsure whether your dog fits this description you must inform us BEFORE attending any classes, and we can conduct an assessment or refer you to a veterinary behaviourist.
  • You must not bring a dog onto our Wright Road property that you know to display strong predatory behaviours toward chickens, sheep, cats or horses (contact me to discuss your situation if you have concerns or questions about this).
  • Attendance at dog training sessions of any kind may pose some risk to yourself, your family members or your dog. By your attendance, you understand and expressly assume the risk of any damage or injury (to yourself, your dog(s) and/or any minors attending a dog training session with you) incurred as a result of a dog training session conducted by or on behalf of Positively Together.
  • If responsible for your animal in your absence, Positively Together is authorised to obtain any emergency veterinary care that may be necessary during that time. Every effort will be made to contact you and/or the animal's owner prior to obtaining emergency care. You accept responsibility for any charges related to this emergency care.
  • By accepting these Terms and Conditions you accept liability for your animal's behaviour and confirm you have divulged all relevant information in relation to your dog - including in regards to any potential or suspected aggression to other dogs, aggression toward people, toward wildlife and other animals, etc (this list is not exhaustive).
OTHER BITS & PIECES:
  • Spectating friends and family members including spouses, parents/guardians and non-participating children must follow instructions of staff and conditions listed above. Non-participating children are welcome to watch from a distance however please ensure they do not disturb the class or the animals (no climbing, excessive noise, running around etc that might startle animals or distract students). Non-participating children, especially pre-schoolers, MUST be fully supervised at all times by their parent/caregiver.
  • Any photos or video taken during the programme may be used by Positively Together and/or associated parties for publicity or sales purposes, including on social media (please reach out to discuss if this is an issue).
  • Honesty is our policy - please communicate openly, let us know of any concerns or questions and we will do the same!
This is a legally binding document and by enrolling in a programme, clinic, lesson or other activity with Positively Together you are acknowledging your acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
