Suitable for 6-14 year olds, this is a great chance to get hands-on with all the animals, learning how to handle them safely, how to train them and care for them. In this class kids work with Positively Together animals, and then take their learning home to their own pets.
Kids learn:
- how to safely and confidently interact with all shapes and sizes and species of animal
- how to speak horse, dog, cow, sheep and chicken (what does it mean when they yawn? How can we tell if a dog is friendly? How do we handle a horse safely and help them feel relaxed? etc).
- how to train animals of ALL kinds, and how we use positive reinforcement to inspire them to WANT to play and work with us. (Practical training skills including observation, timing, coordination, clear communication).
We will support your child to embrace their kind, compassionate, loving selves while feeling confident and capable. We can be empathetic and gentle, AND assertive, confident and effective, without the need to resort to force or coercion to get cooperation from animals (or humans...).
5 week programme $195 (or $150ea for families with more than one child attending), prices subject to change.
