    WILD HORSE WORKSHOP

Thanks for your patience while I ironed out the details and confirmed a date/time for this one!

    When:
    3.15-5.30ish  Saturday 17 May 2025
Where: 540 Wright Road, Aongatete (please drive into paddock off the driveway and park, then walk up towards the barn and horses).
Cost: $50 per person (or $30 for under 18's attending with family).

    * Any profits will go towards ongoing care of India, the foal who arrived to us carrying an injury from the muster. Kaimanawa Heritage Horses are very kindly covering the significant cost of the vet bills, so once additional costs relating to treatment and rehab are covered, any excess will be passed on to KHH.

Rain date: IF we get rained off, this workshop will be held on Sunday 25th 9.30-11.30am

Format:  Meet the Kaimanawas, discuss the muster and application process, the horses' journey to date, training philosophies and strategies.  An opportunity to observe a training session, and depending on numbers and how the horses are feeling there may be a chance to hand feed the Kais. Followed by biscuits and a cuppa afterwards to answer any questions.

Additional opportunity: We are holding a youth animal trainers workshop on Saturday 10-3pm.  So you can arrive at 3.15pm to avoid the kids, OR you can embrace the chaos and come early! You're welcome to arrive any time from 1pm onwards to observe and learn about how we're teaching the next generation of ethical, empathetic animal trainers.
